Alsbach/Darmsdadt, Germany. [CD-EUDNews]. On August 20-21 a delegation of Hope Channel TV (HC) met to plan a Website Network in the “Stimme der Hoffnung” Media Center of the Adventist Inter-European Region.

Hope Channel, the worldwide Adventist TV, organized this meeting in order to change the general setting of their web page.

“The goal of the meeting was first to analyze the current situation of the Hope Channel website, the second goal was to identify the needs of the different Hope Channel partners for the next phase of the website and then find a way to make it happen financially,“ said Klaus Popa, deputy Manager Director at “Stimme der Hoffnung”.

Those who attended came from North and South America and from some European countries. They analyzed all the local web pages highlighting the similarities, the different features, and the diversity of the layout, with the possibility of creating a common symbol orlogo.

“I was hoping that we could find a common ground in creating this web page together, including partners that were not part of the network before” continues Popa. “Now I am actually surprised by the openness, the willingness to cooperate, to move together, to understand each other's needs. I am very confident that we can complete this project together. It gives us a sense of confidence,” concluded Popa.

“Our expectations and hope for these meetings were to build and develop a strong website platform that would accommodate the needs of as many people as possible in that network,” said Derris Krause, Hope Channel Manager.” The meeting was intended to include every member in the network because today some are using their own systems. We try to join as many as possible together to be more cost-effective.

“My goal was to understand how we can work together as a church relating to media centers, TV and Hope Channel,” said Carlos Magalhaes, director of Novo Tempo South America Media Center. “Now I am very happy to know that it is possible. We have the right spirit to do this and God will help us.”

Magalhaes, HC England and Kofi Osie-Owusu were confident that “we are building a team and a site that will meet the challenges of the future.”

Justin Woods from Hope Channel US finally declared: “My expectations for this meeting was somewhat unclear. I wasn’t sure that we could have done as much as we did. It turned out to be an extremely productive meeting and I believe we made a lot of important and concrete decisions.”

Now the first step is complete, there is a lot to do, but the goals are settled, as Krause said: “the ability for this team to visualize what would meet our needs was clear, was articulated, was well thought through, and the increasing commitment even from those who were sitting around the table was evident during the past 2 days.”
