As Gustavo Rosario works alone on his farm in the green hills of the Dominican Republic, his radio is his constant companion. All day long, he toils among his fruit trees and vegetable plants to the sound of voices from Radio Amanecer, the Adventist World Radio affiliate station in the capital city of Santo Domingo.
“Thank you for the beautiful programming that you broadcast,” read the letter from Ecuador. “Your radio is enjoyable company for me and my family, filling our hearts with much peace and warmth. I sincerely congratulate you for the work you’re doing. My husband and I just found out about your radio this past month, and since then we have been listening to it both at home and at work.”
Every year, Adventist World Radio receives thousands of letters, e-mails, text messages, and phone calls from listeners around the world. They describe their joy in hearing of God’s love, and the transformation it has brought to their lives and often to their families.
