Switzerland: A mission called Caleb

Bern, Switzerland.D. Stasi, EUD NEWS.

"Switzerland: 8 million inhabitants, 4 languages, 3rd best quality of life in the world ... and God in all that?”  This is the introduction to two weeks of young people sharing their faith in the heart of the city of Sion, from July 7 until July 23. This includes young people from all over Europe.

From July 7 to 23, 2017, a group of 40 Adventist youth from all over Europe were invited by the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Sion and the Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Churches in French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino, to share their faith and Christian values under the code name of "Mission Caleb".

Using the name of the biblical character and explorer sent by Moses to spy out the land of Canaan, these young people will share their faith with the people from Senegal. Several activities will be carried out: free hugs, testimonies, flash mob cinema, forum, bottles of hope, sketches, action “healthy apples” and street evangelism.

After La Chaux-de-Fonds in 2012, Lausanne and Yverdon in 2013, Geneva in 2014, Biel, Neuchâtel and Delémont in 2015 and Lugano in 2016, it's the turn for Sion and Valais to host this 6th edition of Mission Caleb which has always been very popular because it is, above all, to inspire and to open interreligious dialogue and in no way to indoctrinate or convert.
