On February 5, Pastor Ted Wilson, world president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, visited the Voice of Hope media centre and Hope Channel. The occasion was an invitation to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Stimme der Hoffnung Media Center.

During his eight-hour stay, Wilson learned about the work of the Media Centre with Hope Channel, the Hope Bible Study Institute, Hope Centre, and the current TV productions.

During the morning worship, he encouraged staff members not to lose touch with Jesus. Just as Jesus offered living water to the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well, reaching far beyond the earthly water, so the Voice of Hope expresses values that point into eternity. "I'm glad that God gives hope to many people through the Hope Channel," said Wilson.

Wilson also met with the executive committee and the Adventist church representatives from Germany and the EUD Division. In the afternoon, with his wife Nancy, answered questions for the TV series "Im Gespräch" (dialogue). Managing Director Klaus Popa then conducted an interview with the church president for the TV program "Nachgefragt" (Q&A).

In the evening, Wilson left for Portugal and then traveled to India to prepare for an evangelistic series.
