Mannheim – Germany. Last Easter, April 21-25, approximately 1800 teens participated in the 5th Youth in Mission Congress (YiMC) in Mannheim. The young participants came from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and other countries in Europe, and around the world.

They gathered for missionary work in the streets and to conduct social projects in nursing homes and homeless shelters.

Pastor Ted Wilson (USA), special guest of this congress, President of the World Seventh-day Adventist Church, invited the young people to confess publicly and actively their faith: "Be an ambassador for Christ! God can only pour out His latter rain on us if each of us begins to work actively for Him. Youth must fight for a burning faith. Do not be discouraged or dissuaded from your Christian lifestyle - let Jesus

always be your example. God will bless you for your faithfulness to Him. Let the Lord make our faith burn inside us. Only He can use us to accomplish His work in this world."
The program included a list of workshops inviting the participants to be more relevant in accomplishing God’s mission. Sabbath evening, 547 young people made the decision to put their lives entirely under the guidance of God. 147 decided to be baptized, and 174

decided that night to dedicate one year to Jesus. 46 want to become pastors. Sunday evening, Pastor Michael Dörnbrack baptized three young participants. The congress took place at a school center in Mannheim, the second largest city in Baden-Wuerttemberg. Many classrooms were used as bedrooms, and the workshops were held in several classrooms and in the gym.
The first YiMC took place in 2007. It is an initiative of the Baden-Wuerttemberg youth ministries department. The motto of the Youth in Mission Movement is: Inspire - Train - Send. The concept of the Youth in Mission is that the youth come, get inspired, go to work and return to share their testimonies.
