March 15, 2019 | Florence, Italy. | CD-EUDNews. C.Cozzi. T.Rimoldi.

From June 19-22, 2019, the Adventist Theological Society and the Italian Adventist University organize an international theological symposium on the Godhead.

The Adventist Church dedicates one of its 28 fundamental doctrines to the Trinitarian theme: "There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three coeternal Persons. God is immortal, all-powerful, all-knowing, above all, and ever present. He is infinite and beyond human comprehension, yet known through His self-revelation. God, who is love, is forever worthy of worship, adoration, and service by the whole creation”.

The Symposium aims to address this theme from various perspectives: biblical, historical, theological.

This symposium is intended to clarify: from Scripture, the fullness of the revelation about God; from history, the complexity of human attempts to understand God; and, from theology, the attempts to express the fullness of the revelation. As such, papers will be considered which add to the understanding of the scriptural revelation on the Trinity, the historical attempts to understand the nature of God in both Adventist history and in the history of Christianity in general, and the theological attempts to express the truth about God.

The meeting will take place at Villa Aurora, Florence, Italy, on the campus of the Italian Adventist University, and will be presented in English.

It will be attended by members of the Biblical Research Institute, Andrews University, the Adventist Theological Society, and well-known professors from various Adventist Universities around the world.

For more information on how to register to participate and how to present your own paper, you can see the complete Call for Papers and the registration information on http://www.villaaurora.it/download/2019_Call_for_Papers.pdf
