Mario Martinelli has been appointed as the new Director of Publishing Ministries for the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. With over four decades of experience in Adventist publishing and marketing, Martinelli is recognized as a leading international authority in missionary publishing. Since 2010, he has headed Editorial Safeliz in Spain, following leadership roles at the Review and Herald in the USA and Casa Publicadora Brasileira. Ordained to the ministry in 1984, his career beautifully intertwines theology, administration, and a fervent passion for print evangelism. Under his stewardship, Adventist publications have reached more than 120 countries, and mission-focused Bibles and books have been tailored for diverse audiences.
Alexander Ott, the former Executive Secretary of the Austrian Union, has been elected as an associate secretary of the Seventh-day Adventist Church for the 2025–2030 quinquennium. A pastor and global mission strategist, Ott has devoted his ministry to cross-cultural outreach, particularly focusing on the 10/40 Window and unreached people groups. His international experience encompasses leadership and missionary roles across Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe.
The new associate director for the Communication Department at a GC level is Samuel Gil Soldevilla. Previously, Gil served as the communication director for the Adventist Church in Spain, as well as the director of HopeMedia and La Voz de la Esperanza. He holds an international PhD in Communication, a Master's degree in New Trends in Communication, a degree in Advertising, and is a graduate in Theology.
