A Message of Gratitude and Impact from ADRA CZ Director Radomír Špinka

In a heartfelt message, Radomír Špinka, the Director of ADRA CZ, reflects on a remarkable year of humanitarian aid marked by challenges, hope, and significant achievements. He expresses deep gratitude to friends, supporters, and collaborators for their unwavering support, which has enabled the organization to continue its mission of assisting those in need both locally and globally.

Throughout the past year, ADRA has extended its reach to over 15 countries, implementing humanitarian projects backed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. Among the highlights is a project funded by the Czech Development Agency aimed at supporting children with autism spectrum disorder in Moldova. The organization's commitment to aiding Ukraine remains steadfast, addressing not only material needs but also providing psychological and social support to those affected by the ongoing crisis.

In Bangladesh, ADRA's long-term efforts have significantly improved educational access for children. Thanks to the generosity of donors, 1,300 children now have a better chance at receiving quality education and nurturing hope for a brighter future.

Domestically, ADRA has been actively involved in volunteering within healthcare and social facilities. Over the past year, more than 3,200 volunteers have dedicated their time to visiting lonely seniors and long-term patients, providing companionship and joy to those in need.

The organization faced a formidable challenge during the extensive floods that impacted many households in the Czech Republic last autumn. With the help of over 2,000 volunteers, ADRA was able to assist more than 1,000 households and financially support 860 families. Director Špinka himself spent a week in the field in the Ostrava and Opava regions, coordinating aid and connecting with families affected by the floods. He shared a poignant moment when a local resident expressed surprise at the overwhelming support from strangers, highlighting the true essence of human solidarity. This experience reinforced the importance of being present where help is needed most.

ADRA's commitment to education and raising awareness, especially among the younger generation, continues to be a vital part of its work.

Špinka extends his heartfelt thanks to all who contribute to ADRA's initiatives, including employees, volunteers, corporate and private donors, and the Seventh-day Adventist Church, which underpins the organization’s values and mission. He concludes with gratitude for divine guidance and blessings, emphasizing that together, they can continue to bring hope to the most vulnerable.
