ADRA Calls for Prayer and Humanitarian Support Amid Ongoing Tensions in the Middle East

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is calling for prayer and global solidarity as communities across parts of the Middle East face escalating tensions and humanitarian needs. ADRA is the humanitarian arm of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

As escalation continues in the region, ADRA’s Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regional office, together with country offices and local partners, remains committed to serving the most vulnerable populations. ADRA teams are actively assessing needs and delivering assistance where access and safety conditions allow.

In Lebanon, ADRA is supporting families affected by providing safe water, hygiene supplies, and other essential relief items. Across the broader region, ADRA offices are coordinating with trusted local networks to ensure that aid reaches displaced families, children, older adults, and individuals with limited resources.

To protect the safety of staff, volunteers, and the communities served, ADRA does not disclose specific operational details. However, the organization affirms that preparedness measures are in place to respond quickly as needs evolve.

“During this deeply challenging time, we are asking people everywhere to remember the families seeking safety, the children longing for peace, and the communities carrying profound loss,” says Denis Baratov, director of ADRA MENA, in a statement. “May hope rise, may compassion lead, and may healing come soon.”

ADRA has worked in the Middle East and North Africa region for decades, partnering with local organizations to provide emergency relief, support livelihoods, strengthen community resilience, and restore dignity during crises. The agency’s humanitarian work is guided by principles of justice, compassion, and love, serving people regardless of race, political affiliation, or religious belief.

ADRA invites donors, partners, and friends around the world to stand with affected communities and support ongoing response and preparedness efforts. Contributions help ensure that critical supplies, trained personnel, and rapid response mechanisms are ready when disaster strikes.
