ADRA Spain raises €131,000 for DANA victims and those affected in Valencia

The enormous wave of solidarity and support triggered by the consequences of the DANA storm in Valencia, the largest natural disaster in Spain’s recent history, has also been felt in the generous support provided by donors and volunteers to ADRA Spain in the first two weeks following the onset of the emergency.
In the first 13 days after the storm’s passage, ADRA Spain has received €131,000 in donations and contributions from its members, collaborators, and supporters. With these figures, ADRA Spain has achieved a new milestone, surpassing the donation record set in 2021 during the onset of the war in Ukraine and the refugee crisis.
Of this amount, 20% of donations come from companies and other entities, and nearly 5% are financial contributions from abroad. Another significant portion comes from economic offerings collected specifically for this cause by many of Spain’s Adventist churches.
ADRA wishes to express special gratitude for the solidarity of all those who wanted to add their financial support to the vast wave of aid mobilized over these days, alongside ADRA volunteers, to help in the recovery of the affected areas.
ADRA Spain has opened two logistical points for the distribution of food and essential supplies in the towns of Paiporta and Catarroja. ADRA volunteers in the area are also assisting with street cleaning tasks, food distribution, and support for the victims and those affected by the storm.
The ADRA International Network and ADRA offices in several European countries have also launched a fundraising campaign to support ADRA Spain’s intervention in this emergency.
How to collaborate in this emergency:
ADRA Spain’s response will be more effective and efficient if all those who wish to collaborate and volunteer during this crisis do so in a coordinated manner through ADRA Spain. Those who wish to donate to this emergency should include the reference “Dana Valencia” in their transfers. The ADRA Spain account number is ES36-0049-0469-1428-1070-2011.
Donations can also be made via Bizum to number 01379 and via PayPal: paypal.me/adraespana
