Annual Campmeeting for people with disability

The motto was ”Be a change!”

Between the 1st - 9th September, the Sequoia Resort from the Western Carpathians hosted the annual campmeeting for people with disability, organised by the Rise and Walk Association. The motto was ”Be a change!”

The 170 participants from all over the country, from which 120 were people with disability, enjoyed a variety of activities: Mountaineering for people with disability, socializing activities, recreational activities: equitation, zip-line, ATV rides, heated swimming pool, sauna.

Sports: athletism, football for blind people, ping-pong, biliards, society games, artistic and creative activities: painting, theatre, poetry, music, fire camp, songs, cheerfulness, excursion in the historical centre of Cluj Napoca City, promoting the message ”Be a change!” printed on T-shirts and balloons.

The wonderful landscape, the fresh air and the happy people with disability was the general view of the campmeeting organised by the Rise and Walk Association. The participants proposal was that the next year they should meet again in the same period of time and at the same place. Until then every participant will keep the motto ”Be a change!” in their heart.
