Austrian Volunteer Team Leads Successful ShareHim Mission Campaign in Sarawak, Borneo

Under the theme “Sent for God’s Mission in the Land of Borne”, a dedicated delegation of volunteer speakers from Austria spearheaded a high-impact nine-day evangelistic outreach campaign in Malaysian Borneo from July 3 to 11, 2026.

Organized by the Seventh-day Adventist Mission of Sarawak in collaboration with the international ShareHim initiative, the campaign brought together international guest speakers, local clergy, church elders, and community members across seven key sites in the Padawan, Penrissen, and Siburan mission districts.

Austrian Delegation Drives Cross-Cultural Outreach

Led by Pastor Andrew Dymone, the Austrian volunteer team traveled across continents to serve in Sarawak, also known as Bumi Kenyalang ("Land of the Hornbills"). Working side-by-side with local translators, district pastors, and village elders, the Austrian team delivered nightly Bible presentations focused on spiritual renewal, faith in Christ, and practical Christian living.

The Austrian delegation served in distinct mission centers across the three districts.

Fruitful Impact and 39 Baptisms

Each evening, hundreds of residents gathered in local chapels and community centers to attend the series. The joint efforts of the Austrian guest speakers and local leaders bore significant spiritual fruit, culminating in 39 individuals publicly declaring their faith through baptism at the conclusion of the campaign.

The Seventh-day Adventist Mission of Sarawak extended its formal appreciation to Pastor Dymone and the Austrian team for their selflessness, cross-cultural commitment, and collaborative spirit.

Beyond the immediate conversions, local mission leaders noted that the presence and passion of the Austrian volunteers served as a powerful catalyst. Their participation in the mission strengthened cross-border fellowship, inspired local youth to engage in active ministry, and left an enduring spiritual legacy in Sarawak.
