The pursuit of a balanced life—encompassing physical health, mental clarity, and emotional resilience—is a universal goal. It was this vision of "whole-person care" that drove the launch of the first Break Free training event in Europe, held in Madrid from February 22 to 27.
Originally founded in 2008 in the United States, Break Free is an interdisciplinary program designed to provide practical guidance for lifestyle transformation. After expanding through South America and North Africa, the initiative has now arrived in Europe, starting with a cohort of 53 lifestyle consultants from France, Spain, and Portugal.
A Multidisciplinary Approach to Health
The strength of the program lies in its diversity. The recent training brought together a wide array of experts, including physicians, nutritionists, psychologists, physical educators, and personal trainers.
By uniting these various fields, Break Free creates a network of professionals equipped to help individuals adopt sustainable, conscious habits. The training was led by program creators Dr. Luiz Fernando Sella and Dr. Daniela Kanno, specialists in preventive and lifestyle medicine.

Empowering Agents of Change
The primary goal of the Madrid event was to move beyond theory. Participants focused on methodology and practical service, learning how to act as "agents of change" within their local communities. The curriculum emphasizes helping people navigate the stresses of modern society by finding freedom through balance and purpose.
At the conclusion of the week, participants received certificates of completion, marking the beginning of their roles as community health mentors.
Looking Ahead
The movement is already gaining momentum. A second European training session is scheduled for May 24 to 29 in Spain, aimed at expanding this network of wellness advocates.
Break Free demonstrates that when professional expertise meets a commitment to service, the result is a powerful tool for social impact. By addressing the needs of the whole person, the program seeks to help individuals across Europe live more fulfilling, balanced lives.
