Evangelism Camps: Over 2000 Individuals Reached in Spain

UAE

The Mission Department of the Spanish Adventist Union expresses deep gratitude for the experiences of this summer. The Urban Evangelism Camps were conducted in Ávila, Zamora, and Lugo, where participants engaged in days filled with service, connection, and the proclamation of God's love.

Testimonies

Over 2000 individuals were reached through various activities and publications distributed by approximately 150 missionaries who responded to the divine call. Among those encountered was Chus, a young woman who expressed heartfelt gratitude for a message of hope and for being taught to pray.

Another significant interaction occurred with Alejandro, a young man experiencing homelessness, who conveyed a profound need to understand God's love. The local pastor will maintain contact with him, providing support alongside church members.

Each testimony transformed public spaces into open-air sanctuaries. Individuals approached not only to listen but also with a sincere desire to be heard. Amidst the daily bustle, the pressing need for the message of salvation became evident. This reaffirmed the understanding that the mission transcends mere calling; it represents a profound connection to the human heart.

Mission Impact Day in Ávila

In Ávila, more than 120 volunteers, including entire families, took to the streets on Mission Impact Day. Together, they offered embraces, literature, and smiles that conveyed messages of faith and hope.

Zamora Responded to the Call

The city of Zamora welcomed the Bible Expo, where nearly 800 individuals had the opportunity to learn more about the message of salvation. More than 30 expressed a desire for deeper engagement with the Bible, indicating the active work of the Holy Spirit.

The Seed Was Sown in Lugo

In Lugo, the traveling ExpoSalud facilitated the sharing of healthy living principles, resulting in the distribution of over 1000 missionary publications. Each resource served as a seed of hope for those in greatest need.

Invitation to Participate in the Mission

The Bible underscores the essential need for preaching:

“How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:14)

Elena G. White asserts: “God could have achieved His goal of saving sinners without our assistance; however, to cultivate a character akin to Christ's, participation in His work is essential.” (The Desire of Ages, page 90)

Gratitude is extended for these evangelism camps. Appreciation is also expressed to all who answered the call with a courageous “I will go!” An invitation is extended to join this mission and engage in prayer for every seed planted. “Serving is our mission.”

Continued prayers are encouraged!
