Friedensau Adventist University Welcomes New Master’s Cohort in Pastoral Ministry and Theological Studies

Friedensau Adventist University has officially commenced the 2026 winter semester, welcoming a new cohort of twelve students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry and the Master of Arts in Theological Studies.

The incoming group represents a diverse geographic and cultural background, with participants hailing from Germany, Portugal, France, and South Africa. These students completed their undergraduate theology degrees at various institutions including Friedensau Adventist University, Campus Adventiste du Salève (Collonges), Helderberg College of Higher Education, and Mountain View College. Eleven students are pursuing the Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry, while one is registered for the Master of Arts in Theological Studies.

Curriculum Updates and Practical Application

This semester marks the introduction of a recently revised curriculum for the Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry. The updated program structure offers students specialized tracks, enabling participants in this cohort to focus their advanced studies on either Old Testament or pastoral care.

In addition to academic coursework, students will engage in practical training by applying their theological knowledge and ministerial skills within local church settings and regional conferences.

Looking Forward

University administration noted that the strong enrollment figures reflect sustained interest in advanced theological preparation prior to entering active ministry within the territory of the Inter-European Division. Lectures for the new cohort began in October 2026.
