Leaders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church from around the world will gather at the General Conference (GC) headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland, for the Annual Council, taking place October 8–15, 2025. The theme for this year’s meeting is “Integrated for Mission.”

Annual Council 2025 will be the first business meeting since the GC Session in St. Louis, Missouri, earlier this year, marking the start of implementing newly voted initiatives and leadership priorities.

The Executive Committee includes GC officers, departmental directors, and leaders from the Adventist Church's 13 divisions and unions, alongside pastors, laypeople, and other invitees.

Together, they represent a Church of more than 24 million members in over 200 countries.

The Annual Council provides an opportunity to set the direction for the next five years and ensure that the Church’s global priorities are clearly defined. This year, that focus centers on the 2025-2030 I Will Go Strategic Plan.

Developed by the Future Plans Working Group, the new plan was first presented at the 2023 Annual Council and has since undergone refinements based on feedback from worldwide divisions.

The plan calls on all Adventists —every member, church, and institution —to actively participate in disciple-making and evangelism.

The strategic plan is built upon four main priorities: Communion with God, Identity in Christ, Unity through the Holy Spirit, and Mission for all. Each priority is supported by 22 measurable goals that guide church members and entities in fulfilling the Church’s global mission.

During the week-long meetings, the committee will review ministry reports, discuss church policies, vote on initiatives, and spend time in prayer and worship, seeking God’s guidance for decisions that will shape the Church’s direction in the years ahead.
