Children from Western Highlands Mission of Papua New Guinea are proving there is no age limit when it comes to being involved in ministry.

A group of children, some as young as three, from Kiminiga Mission Compound visited Mt Hagen General Hospital’s children’s ward on Sabbath morning (July 6), bringing with them soaps, toothbrushes and toothpaste, tissues, and other small gifts to present to the young patients and their mothers.

Team leader Elivna Billy presented a devotion, with the children helping out by singing songs and praying for the sick.

“It was interesting to see how children are ready to witness to their age groups when opportunities are given to them,” said Pastor Leighton Kasimo, Stewardship director for the Western Highlands Mission.

The group from Kimininga also proved there is no such thing as ministering “too early”, with the children waking up as early as 5am to get to the hospital.

Pathfinders from Pispond church were on hand to visit other wards at Mt Hagen General Hospital.
