The fifth edition of the nationwide charity cross-country race, themed "I'm Running for My Mother," concluded with significant athletic mobilization and fundraising success. Organized by the AMiCUS Romania Student Federation in partnership with the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) in Romania, the event took place across 13 cities to promote healthy living while raising vital resources to combat domestic violence.

This year’s initiative mobilized 4,000 runners, including 880 children, and relied on the operational support of 444 AMiCUS student volunteers. The event expanded its geographic footprint to encompass Arad, Brașov, Bucharest, Cluj, Craiova, Iași, Oradea, Pitești, Sibiu, Sighetu Marmației, Suceava, Târgu-Mureș, and Timișoara.

Through registration fees and civic donations, the event generated a total of 229,190.50 lei. After accounting for administrative and operational expenses, 103,852.79 lei were directly allocated to the "Emergency Reception Center for Victims of Domestic Violence – ADRA House" project.

The proceeds directly fund complex, specialized reintegration services for affected mothers and children. These provisions include secure shelter, psychological and social counseling, emergency medical assistance, legal guidance, and essential material support such as social vouchers, clothing, and hygiene products.

Organizational leadership from both entities credited the event’s growth to a strengthening partnership and the maturity of the student volunteer network. Representatives emphasized that the race has evolved beyond a sports competition into a broader community movement aimed at restoring dignity and safety to vulnerable families. National media partner Speranța TV, alongside local press agencies, supported the campaign to elevate public awareness surrounding the complexities of domestic abuse.

The annual race provides a critical funding stream for ADRA House, which has been operational since 2009. Over a 17-year period spanning 2009 to 2025, the center assisted more than 4,026 victims of domestic violence, providing direct residential shelter to 1,199 mothers and children. Licensed by the Ministry of Labor, Family, Social Protection, and the Elderly under Law no. 197/2012, the center holds accredited status through December 30, 2030, ensuring the long-term continuity of its institutional care.
