The annual worldwide Week of Prayer of the Seventh-day Adventist Church takes place from November 6 to 13. This year's theme is "I will go - Sent to carry the message".

The world church leadership is providing a prayer reading for the more than 22 million Adventists worldwide. The day's passages are traditionally read together and then participants share thoughts about them before praying. In the thousands of Adventist congregations worldwide, members and guests are invited to special prayer gatherings.

Six of the eight readings for the Week of Prayer 2021 were written by Ángel Manuel Rodríguez and his daughter, Díxil Lisbeth Rodríguez. The Puerto Rican worked for 19 years in the Biblical Research Institute (BRI) of the Adventist World Church leadership (General Conference) in the USA, serving as pastor, educator, and administrator. His daughter has a doctorate in rhetoric and worked as a university professor and hospital chaplain in the USA.

Adventists to proclaim the three angel's message of Revelation

"In our Week of Prayer this year, we will dive deeply into this extremely important message that centres on Jesus Christ and his righteousness," writes Pastor Ted Wilson, president of the General Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. It is the specific task of Seventh-day Adventists to proclaim the Three Angel's Message of Revelation 14:6-12, he said.

Christ, the centre of Adventist preaching

"Many people are concerned and ask questions. They should learn that there is a loving Father who knows what is happening and has everything under control. We don't need to be afraid if we are connected to him," writes Pastor Mario Brito, leader of Adventists in Western and Southern Europe (Inter-European Division – EUD), in his contribution: "Christ is the centre of our proclamation."

Themes of some of the day's readings are "The three angel's message and the mission of our church"; "A call of love"; "Repentance and judgement"; "Worship the Creator"; "A loving warning from God"; "The final judgement and God's love".
