On Sunday, August 31, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Franco-Belgian Union (UFB) made three significant appointments in the presence of Pastor Barna Magyarosi, the new president of the Inter-European Division (EUD). These changes follow the departure of Pastor Rúben De Abreu, who was called to the executive secretariat of the EUD during the 62nd General Conference Session, in St. Louis.
David Milard appointed as president
The Board entrusted the presidency of the UFB to Pastor David Milard. Since May 2023, he had been serving as executive secretary and director of institutional communication within the Union. Husband to Julie and father of little Kalystah, he has taken on various responsibilities in service to the Church.
His journey began with a background in computer science before he responded to the pastoral calling and enrolled at the Adventist Theological College of Salève. During his studies, he served as a pastoral assistant and chaplain on campus. His ministry later took him to Aix-Marseille and then to Bordeaux. At the Southern France Federation (FFS), he was head of the AMICUS department and collaborated in the communication sector, also developing a ministry for theological dissemination on social media.
As the executive secretary of the Union, he oversaw administrative coordination and supported the digital missionary strategy. He is, currently, also involved in civil society as the president of ADRA France and the secretary-general of the French section of the International Association for the Defense of Religious Freedom (AIDLR).
Philippe Leduc promoted to executive secretary
Pastor Philippe Leduc has transitioned from his position as director of the UFB’s Education Department to take on the role of executive secretary. Husband to Annie, since 1997, and the father of three children (Mathieu, Ana, and Matéo), he has been in pastoral ministry since 2002. Beyond his professional responsibilities, he has passions for music, table tennis, and cycling.
A proven experience
His journey took him from the Northern France Federation, where he was a pastor and director of the Maison de l’Espérance, to the Federation of Belgium and Luxembourg, in 2015. There, he led the Youth, Children, Family Departments, helping to structure activities aimed at youth and families.
Elected in May 2023 as the director of the UFB’s Education Division, he supervised the departments of youth, childhood, education, and children's Bible studies across the territory. The new appointment interrupts this mandate, which was initially set to run until 2028, calling him, now, to responsibilities in the administration of the UFB.
Stéphane Eucharis takes over the Education Department
The administrators appointed Pastor Stéphane Eucharis to succeed Philippe Leduc. 45 years old, husband to Sara, and the father of Ethan (16) and Eyden (10), he directed the Education and Youth Departments of the Northern France Federation for eight years.
From the Paris region to national level
As a graduate of the Adventist College of Collonges-sous-Salève, Stéphane Eucharis has been in pastoral ministry since 2014. He served several communities in the Paris region, including Versailles, Bagneux, and Élancourt, before taking on departmental responsibilities in the FFN, from 2017 to 2025.
His approach to ministry strongly integrates the digital dimension. He regularly produces video content for YouTube (adventisteffn), notably for the series "Pensée du jour," and maintains an active presence on social media (Facebook, Instagram). This familiarity with modern communication tools complements his experience in coordinating youth activities.
In June 2025, Stéphane Eucharis handed over his responsibilities in the FFN to Pastor François Todesco. This transition was widely welcomed, highlighting Eucharis’ commitment to the Adventist youth of northern France. He left behind a well-structured department, recognized for its support of leaders and innovation in educational projects.
A transition marked by continuity
These three appointments further strengthen the team already composed of Karine Bercy-Eloidin (treasurer), Pascal Rodet (pastoral), and Jéthro Camille (head of the media-mission sector). The presence of Pastor Barna Magyarosi at these appointments underscores the Inter-European Division's commitment to the organizational continuity of the UFB.
The Franco-Belgian Union expresses gratitude for the service of the previous leaders and looks forward with confidence to the future, keeping this new team and its ministry in prayer.
