Ruben de Abreu, originally from Portugal, served as a pastor at the Portuguese Adventist Union, where he served as director of the youth department and general secretary, among other responsibilities. He was called to serve as president of the Franco-Belgian Union (UFB) in 2013. In 2023, he was reappointed for a third time as president for a new five-year term.
Norbert Zens has served as treasurer of the Inter-European Division since 2010. Previously, he was financial administrator at the Bogenhofen Adventist Seminary in Austria for nine years and, in 2004, became associate director for the Euro-Africa (now Inter-European) region in the General Conference Audit Service (GCAS).
