Second Women’s Congress in Belgium: Living for a Bold Goal!

WM FBL

From April 18 to 20, 2025, the second Women’s Congress in Belgium took place at Notre Dame de Chant d’Oiseau in Brussels. The first congress, held two years ago, carried the theme Making the Desert Bloom. This year’s gathering was titled Living for a Bold Goal, with inspiring keynote speaker Lynn Kanga Mazarin.

The foremost of these bold goals was to once again bring together women from our community, representing a wide variety of languages, cultures, origins, and generations. Women’s Ministries aimed to make the weekend a rich and fulfilling experience, so that every participant would leave feeling inspired, encouraged, and spiritually renewed.

Throughout the weekend, a variety of plenary sessions, group and individual activities, thematic workshops, and moments of listening and reflection were offered. There were also many opportunities to learn, share, uplift one another, and engage in sports and recreation. Every element of the program was designed to foster new bonds of friendship among sisters in faith.

From the preparation stage to the very end of the event, participants experienced profound moments of fellowship, prayer, and spiritual growth. Many young women expressed their joy and gratitude, voicing a desire to meet again soon, without waiting another two years.

During the congress’s concluding session, heartfelt thanks were extended to Lynn Kanga Mazarin, Isabella Guerrero, Marie-Pierre Péchoux, Thirza van deBroek, Isabelle Raucy, Inge Pollin, Paulette Abati, Diane Regis, and Zoé Nolis for their meaningful contributions to the program.

Here are a few of the most touching testimonies shared by participants: “An impactful weekend, filled with renewal, friendship, and meaningful encounters… It was brilliant!”

“I was reminded of how precious I am in God’s eyes, and that He has a plan for me. He calls me to use my gifts and talents in His service.”

“I met wonderful people. Let us remain united in prayer. The journey begins with prayer.”

“As I spoke with other women, I was deeply moved by their testimonies—how prayer has transformed their lives and the lives of those around them.”
