The Stimme der Hoffnung Media Center's IT team has developed new software which can be used worldwide. The software is already available and being used by the Hope Channel radio and TV websites in England, Italy, Norway, Romania, Czech Republic and the United States. It will soon be introduced in France and China. Negotiations with specialists from India, East African countries and Brazil are still in the process of completion.

“There is a good chance that India will use our new software,” stated Klaus Popa, a member of the Stimme der Hoffnung delegation that introduced the new software at the Hope Channel World Producer's Advisory, which took place in Sao Paulo early this month.

The new software allows users to listen to radio and watch television on the Internet. It also automatically updates the website so that the system constantly shows the current broadcast and displays the current music title during radio broadcasts. The program also features a media library in which users can access past episodes.

Furthermore, the system offers user-friendly feedback options which the viewer can use to respond while a program is currently being broadcast. The new software is available for all radio and television promoters. European versions may be found at www.hopechannel.eu, and the American version at www.hopetv.org.

In 2008, more than three million people visited websites maintained by the Stimme der Hoffnung. The German Hope Channel, which is produced by the Stimme der Hoffnung Media Center, will be aired via ASTRA satellite beginning March 7th.

With its round-the-clock coverage, the Stimme der Hoffnung provides programming on relevant topics. One of the station’s aims is to use understandable, modern methods to encourage people to personally study the Bible and become acquainted with the Christian faith.
