Paris, France [Karel Denteneer; CD EUDNews]. The Spirit of the Lord is at work in ways that go beyond our imagination. This is the case in the Franco-Belgian Union, as in many other places around the world. A few months ago my secretary passed me a telephone call from a till now for me unknown pentecostal pastor living in the region of Paris.
He wanted me to question about some details of the seventieth week of Daniel 9. I was really surprised, as this kind of question is rarely asked even by our own members.
I was even more surprised about his exegetical knowledge and the fact that he agreed with all our traditional adventist explanations on this matter.
After a bible study on the telephone of about one hour he asked me another question. This time it was on the seventh-day sabbath and his importance for christians today.
He witnessed that he and his family had begun to observe the Sabbath and that his parishoners to whom he had witnessed and preached were studying the matter.
As a matter of fact he and his congregation are watching every sunday the Canadian SDA programs of “Il est ecrit” (It is written) made by José Elysée and Bernard Sauvagnat. They discovered the evangelistic programs on the internet.
Neither the pastor nor his church members ever met a seventh day adventist! Isn’t it wonderful how “the other angel” from Revelation 14: 6, “flying in the middle of the sky” is at work today?
The pastor asked me some additional material on this topic and so I send him several DVD’s and books. Let us pray that this pastor and his church family continue to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit who “leads to the full truth”.
