The Spanish Union (UAE) Committee Appoints New Directors and Department Heads

UAE

The Spanish Union (UAE) has undertaken a significant renewal of key responsibilities, appointing new departmental directors: Diego Angulo Castro as the director of JAE (Adventist Youth of Spain) and Rubén Guzmán as the head of the Communications Department. Additionally, Gabriel Begle has been appointed as the director of the HopeMedia production team, while Pastor Tercio Marques will lead the Safeliz publishing house.

In the wake of the recent votes from the 26th General Conference, held in the United States from July 3 to 12, several leadership positions within the Spanish Union (UAE) have become vacant. To address this new landscape, the UAE Committee convened virtually via Zoom on July 29, where they made critical decisions regarding reorganization.

New Departmental Directors of Communications and JAE

Pastor Rubén Guzmán will assume the role of head of the Communications Department, a position vacated by Samuel Gil, who has transitioned to the General Conference (GC) headquarters as an associate director of Communications. Guzmán will balance this new role with responsibilities in Religious Liberty and support for the Las Ventas church in Madrid.

Pastor Diego Angulo Castro, who previously served as a pastor in A Coruña and Temple, has been appointed as the new director of the Adventist Youth Department of Spain (JAE). He succeeds Jonatán Bosqued, who has taken on the role of Youth Director in the Inter-European Division (EUD).

New Directors of HopeMedia and Safeliz

Furthermore, Pastor Gabriel Begle has been designated as the new director of HopeMedia. He joins the team following a distinguished 15-year tenure at the GC headquarters, where he contributed to Hope Channel, Adventist Review, and the Ministerial Association.

Additionally, it has been announced that Pastor Tercio Marques will serve as the new director of the Safeliz publishing house. Previously, Marques held the position of Publications Director in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
