The School of Theology at the Italian Adventist University “Villa Aurora”, (Florence, Italy) is looking for a full-time Old Testament teacher, starting with the 1st of September, 2020.
The candidate must have a doctorate in Theology, Old Testament (or related) specialty or equivalent. The recruited person will teach both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels and will be responsible for the following courses: Biblical Hebrew, OT Exegesis, The Pentateuch, Prophets, Hagiographers, OT Theology and other related courses.
The teaching responsibilities of the position are varied (teaching in the lecture hall and online, participation in the life of the university, tutoring, spiritual accompaniment, decentralized training, ecclesial contributions, various committees and councils, etc.).
A research component is an integral part of the position and the successful candidate is expected to be engaged in scientific contributions and publications. The main language of instruction is Italian, but fluency in English is desirable.
