The 2,600+ members of the Seventh-day Adventists in German-speaking Switzerland are invited to the 122nd Annual Conference. The event will take place on Sabbath, March 29, 2025, at the Parkarena Convention Center, in Winterthur, under the motto "Faith - Sharing." Visitors are welcome to attend.
"Mission is not simply done or practiced, but lived," writes Pastor Stephan Sigg, president of the Adventists in German-speaking Switzerland, in the flyer about the conference theme. "Those who follow Jesus are part of His mission to bring God's love and grace to people and to make His kingdom visible in the everyday life of the world. As His ambassadors, we do not simply represent a church or beliefs, but Christ in this world. We do not live His mission alone."
The communal worship service, on the Sabbath of the Annual Conference, is the high point of the Adventist Church’s congregational life. The theme of the 2025 Annual Conference is about mission, that is, sharing the joyful message of Jesus Christ about a good, unconditionally loving God who gives life, hope, confidence, and meaning.

Adventists in Switzerland
A forerunner congregation of the Protestant Seventh-day Adventist Church in Switzerland was founded in Tramelan, (Bernese Jura) in 1867, and the first official Adventist church was founded in Basel, in 1883. In 1901, the congregations in Switzerland were divided into two "federations" based on their linguistic affiliation: the "German-Swiss Federation," based in Zurich, and the "Fédération de la Suisse Romande et du Tessin”, based in Renens, Vaud.
As of December 31, 2024, the German-Swiss Federation comprised 33 congregations and three groups, with 2,604 adult baptized members. The church maintains its own primary and secondary schools in Zurich and Reinach, Aargau. The following are among the church institutions in German-speaking Switzerland: the Advent Publishing House and the "Oertlimatt" retirement and nursing home—both in Krattigen, Bern; the St. Stephan Youth Center in Simmental, Bern; as well as the "Hope Bible Study Institute" correspondence Bible school; the Religious Education Institute (RPI); and the Adventist Press Service (APD).
The preachers are primarily trained at Bogenhofen, the theological seminary in Upper Austria, which is jointly supported by Adventists in German-speaking Switzerland and Austria. The nationwide organizations include the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA Switzerland), a partner organization of both Swiss Solidarity and the League for Life and Health (LLG).
