240 Moldovan orphans to receive a package prepared by ADRA Ticino, Switzerland

This year, again, ADRA Ticino was able to successfully complete this demanding and stimulating project in a positive way. More than 240 Moldovan orphans will receive a package prepared by ADRA Ticino for Christmas.
The four Ticino churches, although still operating partially independent of each other, have begun to collaborate on various fronts. In particular, the foundations have been laid for a better use of logistics and personnel, which bodes well for fruitful future activity by ADRA.
During the five collections carried out in the supermarkets in Ticino, the group of volunteer members—led and coordinated by the church of Losone—received support from some members of the other Ticino churches. A new, dynamic, and motivated group has thus been formed.
The collections took place in Agno, Locarno, Minusio, Maggia, and Savosa. For their smooth running, ADRA is grateful to the management of Migros Tessin for their availability, a gratitude that extends to the branch managers and their respective employees.
“A huge thanks goes, of course, to all the people we met,” elaborated Alberto Pedrazzi, part of the ADRA management, “who devoted their time to us and, above all, showed great generosity. Although the economic situation in Ticino is no longer what it was a few years ago and the difficulties are beginning to be felt, we were pleased to see that solidarity with the less fortunate is still alive this year,” continued Pedrazzi.
He concluded, “Many people have shown us their gratitude and interest. Many wanted to know more about what is behind the acronym ADRA, which gave us the opportunity to testify as an Adventist Church.”
