ADRA Romania Launches the "REPROFILAT" Project

ADRA

Romania, like many European nations, is currently navigating a challenging labor market landscape. The decline in birth rates, an aging population, and workforce migration have left deep imprints on communities. Recent crises—health, energy, and geopolitical—have further intensified the challenges individuals face. In light of these realities, adult education emerges as more than an option; it is a necessity. It represents a vital opportunity to transform vulnerability into potential, restore hope, and pave the way for a brighter future.

In this context, ADRA Romania proudly announces the launch of the "REPROFILAT - Professional Retraining, Continuous Learning, and Labor Market Counseling" project.

This initiative is dedicated to supporting individuals with limited educational backgrounds who are seeking employment or professional retraining. The project is co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Education and Employment Program 2021-2027 and receives additional funding from the Ministry of Investments and European Projects.

A New Opportunity for Progress

The REPROFILAT project will provide participants with access to: Career guidance and counseling services; Assessment of previously acquired skills in informal or non-formal contexts; Programs for acquiring basic digital skills.

This initiative will take place from September 2025 to February 2027 in Hunedoara and Timiș counties, with a total budget of RON 2,487,380.37 (49.043.791,69 Euro).

"By implementing the REPROFILAT project in the West Region, ADRA promotes quality education and the development of decent employment opportunities for both individuals at the beginning of their careers and those seeking a fresh start in their professional lives. Our goal is to assist 305 individuals in finding their place in the labor market, thereby improving their economic situations and quality of life. We are enthusiastic about the opportunity to implement this project and firmly believe that REPROFILAT will provide substantial support to the communities in Hunedoara and Timiș counties," stated Alina Țâțaru, Business Monitoring Expert and Project Manager at ADRA Romania.

Project Impact

The REPROFILAT project aims to enhance qualification levels and develop professional skills by offering: Level 1 and 2 qualifications (such as cook's helper, home carer, and commercial worker); Personal development courses; Financial support during participation in activities

Who Can Participate?

The project targets adults aged 18 to 64 from urban and rural areas, residing in Hunedoara and Timiș counties, who possess low educational qualifications or whose current skills do not meet labor market demands.

A total of 305 individuals will benefit from support, distributed as follows: 20 individuals without formal education; 26 primary school graduates; 184 middle school graduates; 75 high school graduates holding qualifications that are no longer in demand or employed in positions below their education level

Interested individuals can participate by registering via the REGISTRATION FORM: Target Group Pre-registration Form.

Through REPROFILAT, ADRA Romania aims to restore individuals' courage to learn, believe in their abilities, and embark on new professional journeys—an essential step toward independence and dignity.
