From November 22 to 24, 2024, the Seventh-day Adventist Church of Northern France organized a training in communication and evangelism. Communicators, evangelists, and passionate members came together to explore new missionary approaches in the digital age.
“Hope 2025”: a hybrid project at the heart of the training
The “Hope 2025” project, presented during the training, offers a hybrid approach combining digital content and human encounters. Building on its initial successes (1,600 Bibles distributed, hundreds of requests for Bible studies, and a dynamic website), “Hope 2025” aims to transform church members into agents of change.
Five missions for connected evangelism
The project is structured around five missions: creating inspiring content, distributing impactful invitations, distributing books connected to digital resources, praying for those blessed by the mission, and providing spiritual support through Bible studies. “Hope 2025” connects local churches to a growing online community, using digital technology as a tool for connection.
International experts and quality speakers
Alyssa Truman and Karen Glassford, from the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, shared their expertise in communication and digital evangelism. Alyssa Truman illustrated how digital technology can reach millions of people while strengthening local ties. Karen Glassford presented strategies for transforming internet users into committed disciples. Marianne Penner, Jethro Camille, Stéphane Vincent, and the Hope Media France team also contributed to the training.
Practical workshops and moments of sharing
Interactive workshops allowed participants to acquire practical skills in communication, digital evangelism, and leading Bible studies. Times of praise and interactive activities fostered fellowship and unity.
An Adventist Church looking to the future
The 2024 training demonstrated the dynamism and commitment of the Adventist Church to the challenges of the 21st century. “Hope 2025” and the trainings in communication and evangelism illustrate the desire of the Church to innovate and open new avenues for the mission.
