On May 9, 2025, the team at ADRA Romania had the honor of welcoming Norbert Zens, Treasurer of the Seventh-day Adventist Church at the Inter-European Division (EUD), along with Ioan Feier, Treasurer of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Romania, to their main headquarters in Bucharest.
The visit aimed to strengthen collaboration and show support for ADRA Romania’s ongoing efforts—particularly their humanitarian initiatives and their hands-on involvement in supporting vulnerable communities. The guests were also presented with the current office space and plans for its upcoming reconstruction and development.
“You should know that we are very proud of ADRA as a global network—but especially of ADRA Romania for the remarkable work you’re doing,” said Zens.
“We live in times when it is vital to take direct action in support of those in need. I want to thank you for your efforts. What you’ve accomplished is meaningful and inspiring.”
He emphasized the importance of collaboration with local churches:
“It is essential to involve the church in all of your activities. I’m truly encouraged by the projects you're implementing and the way you're engaging with people—it’s very motivating.”
Reflecting on ADRA Romania’s swift response to the Ukraine crisis, Zens added:
“When the war broke out in Ukraine, you responded immediately, providing assistance to those crossing the border in need of help.
Your actions inspire local churches to reflect on what we can do, to better understand people’s real needs, and to find ways to serve. We pray that God continues to protect and inspire you. Thank you very much.”
On Europe Day, we’re reminded that solidarity, compassion, and international cooperation are values that transcend borders and unite communities.
ADRA Romania expresses its sincere thanks to Norbert Zens and Ioan Feier for their openness, support, and trust.
Together, we are building a better future for those in need.
