After seven years of construction, the Hope Center has officially opened in Herne – a new meeting and multifunctional center offering a variety of services for families, youth, and the city of Herne.

This is a new hub of connection in Herne for all individuals, regardless of gender, nationality, culture, language, or faith.

On April 12, 2025, after seven years of planning and building, the Hope Center Herne was officially inaugurated. Approximately 180 guests attended the celebration, which included an opening service, musical performances, and a speech by Mayor Lisa Günther. She praised the commitment of the Adventist congregation Lifeline, which is based in the Hope Center, and referred to the center as an important place of hope and connection for the city.

The Hope Center Herne spans about 2,400 square meters and features various spaces for events, counseling, and community activities. In addition to a café and modern conference and youth rooms, it also houses a psychological counseling center, practice rooms, and the administration of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The center offers programs for children and families, including playgroups, picture book cinema, and the family café "Mini & Me." The project "Alltagsglück" targets parents with young children, aiming to bring positive impulses into daily life with simple ideas. Young adults can also find support at the Hope Center: two shared apartments provide living space for apprentices and students. Additionally, the initiative "Do it 4 hope" invites interested individuals to volunteer, for example, in an open sewing group.

With this new center, a place has been created where people in Herne can come together, regardless of age or background. More information about programs and activities can be found at hopecenter-herne.de.
