The North France Federation of the Seventh-day Adventist Church resonated with the rhythm of its youth from April 17 to 19, 2025.
The “Seven’UP” event, a major gathering organized by the FFJAN (Adventist Youth of the North France Federation) team—composed of Giovane, Michaël, Jenny, and Stéphane—brought together young people, aged 15 to 35, for three intense days marked by hope, unity, and a renewed call to mission.
Meeting a Need, Creating a Space for Communion
For several years, a growing desire had been felt among the youth of the Federation: the wish to live a meaningful shared experience that transcended local activities. “Seven’UP” was born from this aspiration, with the ambition of gathering young people in a setting conducive to spiritual communion, inspiration, and concrete commitment.
The event was conceived as a true spiritual experience, aiming both at missionary motivation and personal renewal for each participant.
“We Want to See Jesus Lifted Up”: A Central and Mobilizing Theme
The guiding theme of this edition, “We want to see Jesus lifted up,” deeply resonated with the young attendees.
Inspired by the request of the Greeks reported in the Gospel of John (12:21), this theme directed all the messages and reflections toward personal restoration, spiritual uplifting, and the urgency of witnessing.
Relying on biblical figures transformed by divine grace, the speakers encouraged the youth to become authentic witnesses of God’s love themselves, in a world searching for meaning and direction.
Seven’UP 2025 thus aimed to be a space for spiritual reconstruction, where each person could deepen their relationship with Christ, rediscover their calling, and renew their commitment to service.
Two Locations, One Same Spiritual Dynamic
To facilitate organization and provide suitable environments, the gathering took place in two locations:
On Thursday, April 17, and Friday, April 18, the South Paris Adventist Church hosted the youth for moments of passionate praise, interactive discussions, and biblical teachings.
On Sabbath, April 19, the highlight of the weekend took place at the Longjumeau Theatre. This venue allowed all participants to come together for an exceptional Sabbath celebration, experienced with solemnity and contagious joy.
Inspiring Guests from England
Two pastors from England particularly impressed the participants with the quality of their presentations:
Micah Campbell, from the North England Conference, shared his contagious energy and delivered messages deeply rooted in the daily lives of young people.
Warren Gillin, from the South England Conference, was appreciated for his holistic and sensitive approach, as well as the spiritual depth of his workshops.
Their contributions were widely praised for their relevance, authenticity, and the positive impact they had on the audience.
A Movement that Hopes to Continue
The FFJAN organizing team emphasizes that Seven’UP 2025 is not intended to be a one-off event, but rather the starting point of a movement—a true call for spiritual awakening for an entire generation.
The stated ambition is to plant the seeds of a larger movement: that of an Adventist youth that is united, deeply rooted in the Gospel, passionately committed to mission, and determined to “lift up Jesus in every area of their lives.”
