Pastor Stephan Sigg was re-elected as president, for another four years, by the delegates of the German-speaking Swiss Association (DSV) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Sigg was first elected to this position in 2017.
The election took place on March 30 during the general assembly in Zurich, which, according to a church press release, was attended by over 140 voting representatives from the 33 local congregations in German-speaking Switzerland. Sigg was confirmed in his position with 120 votes in favor, 19 against, and seven abstentions.
Structural reform and mission statement for church leadership approved
In addition to the election of the president, the delegates approved an adjustment of the structural reform, introduced in 2021, and a new mission statement for the church leadership in German-speaking Switzerland (DSV). The changes made are based on the experiences of the past four years and are intended to strengthen collaboration among the divisional staff in order to better support the congregations at the local level.

Both administrative regions, together, form the Swiss church leadership, known as the Swiss Union, headquartered in Zurich. At the end of 2024, 4,853 Adventist Christians lived in Switzerland.
